Woodstock School of Ballet first opened in 1985
with a commitment to offering the community the highest standards
for dance training, and related arts. Since then, students
have thrived in a professional, caring atmosphere, learning
from some of the metro area's finest instructors.
Our philosophy is to encourage students,
in a positive environment, to be self-motivated, competing
only with themselves, and to develop a sense of personal accomplishment.
Physically, students will gain strength,
coordination, flexibility, and good body alignment from their
training. Other benefits include self-confidence, poise, good
classroom manners and just plain fun!
Welcome to WSB for the 2010-2011 Season!
I hope you are having a great summer and look forward to seeing you soon. The new schedule for classes beginning in August is attached and may also be viewed on our website. If you have pre-registered, you may select a class and email your request. I will promptly send confirmation that your choice is available. CBT Company dancers have a set schedule that has changed slightly from previous years, so take a look at it if you are in those classes. If you have not registered, you may print out a registration form from the website and mail it along with your registration fee and class request or come by the studio to register. I am there on Tuesdays from 5-8:30 and on Thursdays 6:30-8:30. These are also the times you may come by and pick up your recital DVD and pictures, if ordered. On Tuesdays I am in class and not available to meet with you, but will be at the desk on Thursdays. Email is the best way to communicate and get a quick response to your questions.
All classes begin the week of August 2nd. Be sure to read over the Dress Code and Fee Schedule before classes begin. August tuition will be due on the day of your first class, or you may send it anytime before that (which would be very much appreciated!)
Open House is Thursday, July 29 from 4 - 7p.m. On that day you may come by to purchase dance attire from Centerstage Dancewear. Centerstage is located on the square in Marietta. It is not the only dancewear source, but we think it is the best! They are fully stocked to serve you and always helpful.
Tough Toes and Hip Hop Thursdays begins tonight and we look forward to seeing many of you there! If you would like to join those classes, there is still availability and the schedule is on our website.
Fairy Tale Ballet Camp is the week of July 19th from 10-2:30 each day and promises to be a wonderful week of dance, arts and crafts, choreography and fun. All WSB dancers between the ages of 4 & 10 are eligible to participate. Parents will be invited at the end of the week to a “Fairy Tale Ballet” production. Come join the fun!

SUMMER CLASSES AND CAMPS…..Registration for summer classes and camps has begun. Summer is a great time to try out new things, and it is always so much fun to see our students there without the pressures of homework and other activities. It really does so much for our students to keep going throughout the summer months and not backtrack. It is much easier to stay in shape than it is to start over after many weeks off! - Click here to see what the summer has to offer.
