ATTIRE…is specified for each class, so please make sure you have your child outfitted properly, including hair up and limited jewelry. Put your name on all attire, and if lost, we will make sure you get it back. Don’t forget to put your name on the inside of each shoe. Dance shoes may NOT be worn outside. It is always a good idea to have a bag for shoes and accessories. Our dressing rooms can be congested at times, so if at all possible, dress before coming to class. Be sure to check the lost and found bins in each dressing room if you are missing anything!

TUITION…is due the first week of each month. No notice will be sent for this, but we will have monthly reminders in each newsletter. You will be billed after the 10th of the month, if payment has not been made, and a $15.00 late fee will be included. There is a $15.00 charge for returned checks. Tuition may be paid by cash or check, and you can mail this or drop it into our tuition box in the lobby. If paying by cash, always get a receipt at the front desk. If paying by check, please put your child’s name on the check if you have a different last name.

ATTENDANCE…Good attendance is very crucial to the success of the student, and we encourage you to make up missed classes due to illness, or other personal reasons. You do not need to make up classes that are missed due to holidays, however. Be sure to keep a schedule of classes and refer to it when making up a class. You are welcomed to come to any age appropriate class and always bring a note to let us know it is a make up.

CLASSES…Students are settled into their classes now and we are working hard and having fun! Parents are invited to observe classes the week of November 16th. We are trying to open another Pre-Ballet class for 3 & 4’s and want to hear from you if either of these times work. Monday at 10a.m. is one possibility and Wednesday at 5p.m. is another.

HOLIDAYS…...We will not follow the Cherokee County Schools’ calendar for Thanksgiving Break this year. Our break will be Wed. Nov. 25 thru Sat. Nov. 28. All classes will meet that week as usual on Monday Nov. 23 and Tuesday Nov. 24. Holidays are made up during the course of our year, and tuition is due as usual, on or before first week of each month.

“SNOW DAYS”…..If Cherokee Co. Schools adjourn for weather related reasons, so do we. This policy stands regardless of the weather conditions, so as to avoid last minute confusion.

Students are not allowed outside without a parent, so please do not instruct your child to meet you outside after class. All classes will end at 5 minutes before the hour with the exception of pre-ballet classes which are 45 minutes long. Students should be picked up promptly after class. If there is a need to have your child wait longer, send a note to let us know this. If you are running late, it’s always a good idea to call the office and leave us a message, so be sure to have the studio number handy.

Parents are invited to wait in our lobby area during class time, but we ask that you supervise your children and keep the noise level to a minimum, so that our office can function smoothly. Parents will be invited in to observe classes a few times during the year.

LOST & FOUND, SWAP SHOP, ETC… If you haven’t checked our “lost and found” bins lately, please take a look in the dressing rooms. We have quite a few items with no home! Also, be sure to empty out your child’s dance bag from time to time and make sure that you know what you have or are missing. Often, with our older dancers especially, items are “lost” into other dancers’ bags by accident and can stay there forever if mom doesn’t check. Put names on all items! Remember to bring in your “gently worn” dance apparel to sell in our Swap Shop as you outgrow it. It’s a great way to recycle dancewear and find bargains!
